Ariké Rice is a Los Angeles born/based Creative Artist with a lifelong history in entertainment. She began her career in adolescence with theater/commercial acting and singing. At age 9 she joined the R&B girl group, “Voices” (Zoo/BMG) and shortly after, joined “Before Dark” (RCA Records) who went on to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and tour with Christina Aguilera and Destiny’s Child. She followed her singing career with an extensive run as a professional dancer, touring and performing with legendary artists such as Usher, Missy Elliott, Janet Jackson, Chris Brown, just to name a few. Through dance she was able to venture into fashion styling and eventually, costume design. For the past 9 years, she has worked as a Key Costumer and Assistant Costume Designer on various television shows and films and while doing so, has made time to explore other creative endeavors, such as painting and writing children’s literature. She maintains a Youtube channel dedicated to bolstering children’s interests in reading and creativity and is working on publishing her own children’s books, which she has written and illustrated.
